Around the Mediterranean!

Picture this -- white sand beaches, water the color of azure, and cloudless crystal blue skies -- and you'll begin to imagine our inspiration for this year's summer camp! What would you pack? What would you take with you? If you are anxious to travel to far off (or near) places, you'll begin to see what is inspiring our creativity for this year's camp theme. And, what better combination is there -- travel, fashion and you? Join us as we embark on another adventure in true JMIS style and you'll be ready for your own adventure "Around the Mediterranean!"

In this year's summer camp, we will be focusing on making and sewing items you might take or wear for a trip around the Mediterranean.

As part of this year's camp "Around the Mediterranean" your young sewist will have fun making new friends, sewing up a storm and being the first to make their own fashionable and classic outfits. YOU, are cordially invited to join Just Make it Sew as we explore fashion and sewing. We will end each week of camp with a studio display of finished projects that -- like previous years -- will be recorded and put on Facebook and Instagram. If the girls are interested and time allows, they can even do their own fashion runway.

Our summer camps are appropriate for beginning to advanced sewists from ages 8 to 17. Each student will have a choice of fabric, make design choices and create items that are fashionable, fun to wear or use, and imaginative. We inspire creativity as well as teach useful life skills. And, we will offer a few advanced projects for our returning and more experienced sewists. A number of this year's projects will allow each sewist to choose from among various design options that will allow them to express their creativity -- and showcase their own style. Besides having fun, making new or renewing old friendships and learning basic or new sewing skills, we will make up to 3 or 4 items (of those listed below) as time allows which will be chosen from among the following projects:

• A Bucket Bag with drawstring pouch
• A Bathing Suit
• A top with puff sleeves
• Hotel Slippers/Sandals
• And other projects as time allows.

Cost for a week of camp is $325.00 and includes all fabric and materials for the camp (sewists will need to purchase or bring their own sewing supplies kit for the week), plus a pizza lunch one day of camp (Bordentown location only). To register for the camp 1) pay the non-refundable deposit by adding your camp to the shopping cart and register for your desired week . 2) Once registered you will need to print the registration form and complete it. Then you can either mail the form in or bring it in on the first day of camp along with your remaining payment. Register by May 1st and we'll take $30.00 off the cost of the camp! • We are now accepting registrations for in-person camp in Bordentown during the West Windsor weeks Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as follows:

In addition to the above camp weeks, JMIS will be offering a few extra "mini-camp" days. You would sign up for each day individually. They are being offered on:

In the West Windsor-Plainsboro NJ area (sign up is through the West Windsor - Plainsboro School District community program), we host half-day camps from Monday -- Friday from 9 am to Noon on the following weeks.
