'Safe at Home. From our Backyard Picnic Series -- Make a Tic-Tac-Toe Sit-upon!
We are all spending more time at home and we at Just Make it Sew are no different. If you are looking for creative new ideas that incorporate a sense of learning, fun and fashion -- you've come to the right place. In our Backyard Picnic Series, we've come up with a series of creative projects that can be made to wear or for having fun.
Every Backyard Picnic needs a few games, right? You won't find this in Target or Walmart or Costco. In this workshop you can make this "Sit-upon" that doubles as a game board for Tic-Tac-Toe. The kit for this workshop includes includes a choice of fabrics for the sit-upon, fabric for the game pieces, fiber fill to stuff the sit-upon, felt strips for the board and buttons to fill the game pieces. This project can be hand-sewn or machine sewn in about an hour. It's perfect way to help you and/or youryounger sewist learn a valuable skill and make something that will get lots of use. Make one for you and make another to give as a gift!
Join us on either Wednesday, May 13th beginning at 4:00 pm or Saturday, May 23rd at 11:30 am. It can also be completed as an individual lesson series. In the zoom workshop we'll guide you and/or your sewist through the process of making your own sit-upon gameboard similar to the one pictured here. This project may be hand-sewn or machine sewn.
The kit will be available for curbside pickup for either date, or postal delivery for the Saturday, May 23rd class only. Mail delivery orders must be received by Tuesday, May 20th. Due to the amount of fiber-fill required, this project does not qualify for free shipping. The kit will also include a small spool of matching thread, your choice of pre-cut fabric pattern pieces, the items mentioned above, and -- if needed -- a needle for hand sewing.
Once your order is placed we'll get your choice of fabric choices and prepare your kit prior to it being available for curbside pickup or mail delivery. Appropriate for all sewing levels (including never-have-sewn before). More than one wanting to sign up, no problem, just add the number of kits you want and we'll provide a discount on the workshop!
