Classes and Workshops for the Holidays -- 2022
Below is our current listing of classes and workshops for the month of December. Our classes and workshops are designed to be fun, engaging, and some can be done as a joint project with both a parent and child/youth.
Tuesday, December 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
American Girl Doll - Turtleneck Top!
Join us during the week between Christmas and New Years' and give the gift of an experience this year and have your sewist make a Turtleneck Top for their American Girl (or other 18") Doll. These are projects for those who have sewn with us before and will stretch their sewing skills. If your sewist has never sewn with us before they can make a pair of PJ pants in the time allowed.
Your sewist will learn practical and fun skills. Help her expand her sewing skills and her doll's wardrobe at the same time. Once she masters these skills, there will be no stopping her! Skills your sewist will learn include sewing on curves, setting in a sleeve, adding a collar, and more. Your family, when they ask where you found such an adorable turtleneck for the doll, will be amazed to hear that "She made it!". Perfect for those getting a new doll for the Holidays!
The details... Workshop will begin at 9:30 am and run until approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28th. Suitable for for sewists ages 7 and up. Registration for in-person signup is limited. Join Just Make it Sew during the week between Christmas and New Years' and give the gift of an experience this year. And, if you've signed up your sewist for the American Girl Doll workshop on Tuesday morning, you should consider signing her up so she can make her own Turtleneck. She'll be the talk of every gathering of friends and family when she walks in sporting a matching top with her doll!
Anyone can take this workshop, not just those who have signed up for the Tuesday workshop. Skills your sewist will learn include sewing on curves, working with knits and more. Perfect for a beginner and those who have never sewn before. Your family and friends, when they ask where you found such an adorable turtleneck, will be amazed to hear that "She made it herself!".
As usual, space is limited and these classes can fill up quickly. Appropriate for sewists ages 7 and above and those that have sewn with us before. Choice of fabric is included in this workshop. Diversity is in!! While each of these friends are from different continents, they can all find room on your daughter's or son's bed. Even more so when she has created her own Stuffed Animal. Join us during the week between Christmas and New Years' and give the gift of an experience this year and have your sewist make their choice of Stuffie.
