Be Inspired -- And see what you can Sew!
Below is our current listing of classes and workshops for our younger sewists. Our classes and workshops are designed to be fun, engaging, and many can be done as a joint project with both a parent and child/youth and either in-person or virtual. If the project is done online as a virtual session, we will prepare a kit for each person who is signed up. All zoom workshops must be purchased a minimum of one (1) week prior to the class, so we have time to get measurements, fabric choices and prepare the kit for pickup or mail delivery. See below for the details with more to come for her -- and you!

OR... make your own Axolotl Salamander
If you don't know what an Axolotl is... don't worry, ask a young person. They ALL know what it is. (We'll confess we didn't know what it was either till a few weeks ago.) An Axolotl is an aquatic amphibian that lives and breathes underwater. However, when exposed to iodine, they transform -- develop more muscle mass, grow eyelids, and start using their dormant lungs. In other words, they become air breathing amphibians that can live on land! Oh, and they can also regenerate damaged limbs and regrow parts of their brain and eyeballs. All this aside, they are incredibly cute and colorful and now, you can make your own Axolotl as an adorable stuffie.
However, due to the amount of time this stuffie could take to make, we are only offering it as a Two-for-Two or Individual Lesson series. Make this today and you will learn a lot, just be prepared, it could take a little time to complete.
Ongoing Workshop Class Series
Our Sewcial Society Class Series!
Our Sewcial Society Series of classes are held on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 am in 5-week session blocks.
Sewing is something that is shared by all peoples throughout the world -- like a thread woven between peoples and cultures. Share a window to our world and join us in our "Sewing Social."
Students can choose from a list of available projects. Beginners or Advanced Beginners are welcome, though to maximize their time, they should know how to operate a sewing machine. These sessions are designed to be an introduction to sewing in a fun and easy way that will engage young minds and eager hearts.
Sewcial Society series of classes run on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on a rolling 5 week basis as space is available.
Fabric and patterns (unless chosen from our library of patterns) are not included with the purchases of these sessions. Appropriate for ages 8 to 18.
