The Sewing Basics
Introduction to Sewing for fashion!
The best of fashion begins with the basics — fabric, thread and you! There is no better place to start than right here by learning to sew for yourself.
In this two plus hour class you will learn about your sewing machine and finish your first project!
With this beginning — and some practice — you can “graduate” to making ever more complicated and intricate projects. Over time, you’ll be making those designer dresses with fabric we carry at Just Make it Sew. Take for example clothing by designer Oscar de la Renta. At Sak’s, a skirt, dress or top could cost you $1,000’s or more. With our help, you could make it yourself for a fraction of the cost, maybe even using a designer fabric found in our shop.
Get started today by joining us in this Introduction-to-Sewing — for fashion workshop. Available for ages 8 thru adult. Class size is limited. Cost $65.00 per student, fabric not included. Sign up here and start your sewing journey today.

Build your skills -- Next Steps
Once you’ve taken the Introduction-to-Sewing Class, you may want to continue your sewing journey and expand your sewing skills. Combined with the Intro Class, we are offering an Intro Bundle of four (4) individual lesson hours to make your next project for an additional $140. Your project could be a skirt or pair of yoga pants or something else we agree to. If your project takes longer than the additional four hours, additional lesson hours are available at the Block-of-5 lesson rate. The Intro Class or this Bundle offer does not include the cost of fabric.
Want to go further? Next projects could include teaching you how to choose fabric, read a pattern and make adjustments based on your specific size and shape. There is a lot to learn and we are here to help teach you. The sky is the limit!
You’ll love making and wearing the items you’ll learn to make. And best of all when people ask you where you bought it you can say, “I made it myself!”
